Feels Like Home - The Best Korean Comfort Food! If you're looking for authentic Korean food that tastes like it was made with love, Tang 190 is the place to go. As someone who knows great homemade Korean cooking (thanks to my amazing mother-in-law), I can confidently say that this restaurant serves some of the best, most soul-warming dishes around. Every bite feels like a home-cooked meal, made with care and tradition. The pork belly? Absolutely phenomenal--perfectly crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and bursting with flavor. The kalbi is some of the best I've ever had, grilled to perfection with just the right amount of sweetness and char. And let's not forget the cold noodles--refreshing, perfectly chewy, and the ideal balance of tangy and savory. Beyond the incredible food, the service is a solid 10/10. The staff truly takes care of their customers, making sure everyone feels welcome and at home. You can tell they put as much heart into their hospitality as they do their cooking. This has become my go-to Korean spot at least once a week, and I can't recommend it enough. Whether you're craving comforting soups, sizzling BBQ, or the perfect bowl of noodles, Tang 190 delivers every time. If you haven't been yet--go now!

Came across Tang 190 in this plaza that has everything and plenty of parking! They have this nice outdoor patio, but I sat inside and was really impressed by the interior. Spacious with this modern-retro vibe! The staff were fast and friendly. Me and my friends ordered quite a feast with makgeolli: Bossam (Pork & Kimchi Wrap Platter), Rice Cake & Dumplings Soup, Gamjatang, Spicy Chilled Noodle, and Seafood Green Onion Pancake. Everything tasted good, but I especially loved the bossam and spicy chilled noodles!!! The place is super clean and perfect for casual Korean food with a group.

So we were super lucky when we went because there was a table available for us. It's a very small location and it's pretty busy. The staff is very nice and the food is delicious. I ordered the beef bowl and it was huge. So flavorful and delicious. I really liked all the sides they had come out with it too. My only complaint was that there was this kid there who kept opening the doors and leaving them open. It was freezing out so it was really annoying. Not an issue from the staff/restaurant. But was just annoying. lol

Food: This place is definitely one of the best restaurants serving this type of Korean food. The kalbi tang did not disappoint, and was hearty and filling. They give plenty of tender beef with the soup. The bossam (pork wraps) was super soft and juicy, although I wish they gave a bit more lettuce (they don't refill). It's hard to go wrong with a bulgogi dolsot bibimbap, and they did not disappoint. All the side dishes were great! Service: All the staff were friendly. This place gets pretty busy, so we had to wait a bit to get seated. We didn't wait too long for our food, though. Location: Placed in a popular plaza, parking is easy to find. the restaurant is on the smaller side, so if may be tricky to easily get a larger group seated during peak hours.

It's always the small mom-and-pop shops like this one that are serving up lowkey amazing Korean comfort food with the most caring service too. The cabbage in the galbi-tang soaked up that delicious broth and was a crowd favorite, but what really got me going was this gigantic galbi bibimbap. The trick is to wait for the rice on the bottom to get a little scorched from the stone pot, then mix it all up for maximum texture. And ginseng chicken soup with an entire half chicken that was fall-apart tender and would literally cure a sick person INSTANTLY. Thanks for reading! ^-^

The food is SO yummy. We ordered the Back-Rib soup, dumplings, and bossam. Everything was amazing. I'll definitely come back. Service was great as well!

the meal portions were huge & so good! we got seafood pancake, pork cutlet, and 2 cold noodles. All of them were of good portions -- all three of us left filled with some leftovers to go. the workers there were super friendly as well, checking in regularly about our food / service! the inside was really clean and well kept too there wasn't a wait when we went and plenty of parking :') as a LA person it was a luxury haha overall recommend if you're nearby & wanting to try a solid korean restaurant!!! i'll prob come back sometime soon to try their galbitang, their most popular item on the menu :')

Reaalllly good impression for my first time here. Small indoor seating but plenty of outdoor ones. Smaller menu selection but so BOMB!! Great stop for comfort korean food. Bulgogi bibimbap - Best bibimbap i've ever had at a restaurant. Comes hot and sizzling with lots of meat and vegetables. Rice cake dumpling soup - Nothing too special but was very soothing, rice cakes were very chewy

This spot is a hidden gem for Korean soups and noodles! It's perfect for a light meal, and even better, they have outdoor seating, making it a dog-friendly place--which is a huge plus for me. The servers were super friendly and attentive, checking on us multiple times to ensure everything was perfect and that we had everything we needed. I highly recommend the beef shank soup. It comes with glass noodles and a generous amount of tender beef. What's great is that it arrives unsalted, so you can season it exactly how you like. The dumplings are also a must-try! They're a great side dish, especially if you're looking for some extra protein with your meal. On a hot summer day, their cold noodles were an absolute hit. The chewy noodles and refreshing broth were just what I needed to cool down. The galbi was nicely charred, full of flavor, but I do wish it came with a bit more meat. Overall, this place offers great food and even better service. I'll definitely be back.

Have always wanted to try this place but never got a chance to until now, really wish I came here earlier because it's such a hidden gem. First off, getting seated was so easy. The indoor seats are limited but they took advantage of the outdoor seating area so there's no wait and the outdoor areas are all shaded. We came for a late lunch so were pretty hungry and knew we might have leftovers since we ordered with our eyes: Noodle in Cold Broth + LA Galbi | Buckwheat noodles in icy beef broth + 6 pcs short rib ($34.99) - This was such a nice combo deal. The portion is enough to share for two people. It's so hard to find this dish in the Irvine area and this place does it right. I love that they give you the mustard and vinegar so you can adjust it to your taste. Also, they really ice the soup. I've had this dish in other places where it's just lukewarm and that's not what you hope for when you see "cold" noodles on the menu. The galbi was tasty too and in terms of fattiness, they were leaner than some places. Bulgogi Rice Plate | Marinated and grilled beef 'BiBim-Bop', on a sizzling hot stone plate with onion, cabbage, daikon radish, and green onion. Topped with fried egg, sesame seeds, and seaweed strips. Season with gochujang and sesame oil to enhance its flavor ($23.99) - This was a super yummy dish as well. I haven't had bulgogi in a while outside of Kbbq and the flavors on this dish was very good. The bottom part of the rice soaks up the sauces from the bulgogi and is caramelized on the hot stone plate making it crispy. If you are into textures, this might be the dish for you. I think with additional rice, you can easily share this dish between two people as well. While the prices might seem expensive, the quality of the food justifies the price in my opinion (I'm sure they pay high rent for being in Irvine). I've paid a few dollars cheaper for similar food in other places in the area and have been more often let down by the food quality. The ambiance was cozy and the service was great. Some of the staff reminded me of my mom when it came to seeing whether or not we had enough food, side dishes, etc. One staff even helped me pack up the cold noodles when she saw me struggling with the soup. I'll definitely be back again to try other dishes on the menu!
